Centenary Theatre Company Presents Shrek the Musical                                                         

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…" And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand...and his name is Shrek. 

Shrek presents a treasure trove of creative opportunities including costumes, sets, puppets (there is a dragon after all), and more! Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre. With well known songs like 'I'm a believer', 'Freak Flag; and 'I know it's today', it's sure to leave you wanting more.

Centenary proudly brings Shrek the Musical to the Brindley stage this May, 2025. Centenary Theatre Company, who brought you sell out award winning productions such as Nativity! The Musical and The Phantom of the Opera, have been established in Warrington for 123 years! We’re an award-winning company using professional sets and costumes and working on the professional Brindley Theatre stage. The only difference between us and the West End is that we do it purely for the love of theatre and the thrill of a show. Centenary are proud of the dedicated focus we have on bringing the magic of west end theatre at local prices to our local communities. We are renowned for offering many opportunities for people from age 6 to 99 to work on all aspects of theatre and offer training and guidance to anyone who wants to be involved.
